I have been invited to participate in the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar program this summer. This prestigious program is held once a year in Weimar, Germany. The opportunity to study, perform, and audition abroad is essential in the development of any opera singer, and I feel blessed to have received this invitation.
The comprehensive program provides instruction in vocal technique, acting, movement, diction, language and vocal interpretation. Daily coaching, master classes and voice lessons are taught by LOSW's faculty - internationally recognized artists and teachers with active careers throughout Europe and around the world.
In addition to these incredible learning experiences, I will have the opportunity to perform the role of Papageno in Mozart's "The Magic Flute."
Tuition, lodging, and travel expenses for this opportunity are considerable for a recent graduate like myself. Despite a scholarship from the LOSW and some personal savings, we are still short of our goal. A donation of any amount toward this trip would be greatly appreciated.
