Hello Friends/Colleagues/Extended Family,
I hope you are all well! I write to inform you of an exciting opportunity that has come my way this past year in the hopes that you can support me in my efforts to grow personally and professionally and provide this opportunity to others as well.
In November, I selected to participate in the 2013 Executive Leadership Program of the National Hispana Leadership Institute (www.NHLI.org). This organization in existence for 25 years, is committed to developing Latinas as ethical leaders through training, professional development, relationship building, and community activism. Being chosen is my personal call to leadership, action, and continued service to the community.
NHLI is the only national nonprofit, organization providing executive leadership programs for Latinas in the U.S. Its highly effective executive leadership program has been nationally recognized through awards by the Center for Creative Leadership, the Independent Sector, and the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute, among others. The program is a four week executive leadership program which includes coursework at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (January 2013), a Leadership Development Program at the world-renowned Center for Creative Leadership (Summer 2013), and the completion of a public policy program and graduation in Washington DC later this year.
As part of my responsibilities as a NHLI Fellow, I am seeking to raise as much as I can towards our class goal of $44,000 to support NHLI, create scholarships for other deserving Latinas to participate in this exceptional training program and underwrite our class project meant to serve the greater Latino community in the USA.
Please give as little and as much as you can to support me in this endeavor! Every little bit helps me accomplish my goal of paying it forward! The deadline to make a contribution is Friday, June 14, 2013. Feel free to forward this message to anyone you think would support me and this important cause! Thanks in advance for your support.
