Rocco is now 5 years old.
On December 24th 2016 he was formally Diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
Rocco is nonverbal. He has never said a word. He has started to use PECS (picture exchange communication system) but this is a working progress, and he is still learning.
As he gets older he finds it harder and harder to communicate his changing wants and needs. He gets angry, sad and very frustrated in these moments.
It can and has caused him to feel isolated and misunderstood.
We, his family and friends are funding for Rocco's Voice, Safety and Awareness. This includes, but is not limited to:
-Speech Therapies.
-Motor Skills and safety awareness building activities.
-Support Dog Training.
-Community and social skills.
These are Rocco's main areas of need due to his ASD, and all of these things will help Rocco progress.
It is imperative that he gets the support now that he needs so very much in order to grow up and express himself, become independent, be able to live in a sociable world, make friends and most importantly keep himself safe.
We have just launched Rocco's social medias in the hope to not only build a following but also to share his journey. As soon as enough is raised to get the wheels in motion for him everything will be documented, so please give him a follow too.
This is an ongoing cause, there are no limits to our goals... Rocco for now will always need our support.
