Donna's Brain Cancer Fight Fund

PLEASE HELP! I am a friend of Donna's and also battling Cancer. All of my friends tell me "call me" if you need anything. Please know a Cancer patient will not call. PRIDE will not let them. If you really want to help Donna's day be better, here is a few ideas:
). Send her a check, cash, money order to help her pay a bill or a copay for some of her medicines. She still has all the bills before sh...e got Cancer, yet now she can't work and she has her children. That will really help her the most.
). Take her to chemo and sit with her. Cry with her, hug her, read a book to her to help her get her mind off it all.
). Clean her house, energy is what we lack and so much housework to do.
). Cook dinner for her and her family and deliver it to her. Friends, change out nights. It makes a huge difference. Mostly the few days after chemo.
). Take her to a park and let her vent and let her be scared. Let her cry. We have to always be strong for family. She needs arms wrapped around her so she feels safe and not alone.
). Buy her comfy clothes to lay around in. Nothing makes you feel better than a new pair of comfy soft clothes.
). Offer to help her reach out to the City for any benefits she may qualify for.
). Drop her candles off to relax her, maybe an inspirational cd she can listen too.
). A pedicure and manicure keeps us feeling as a woman, not just a Cancer patient.
). Buy her a beautiful journal that she can pour her heart into on those days she can't say put loud how scared or alone she feels.
). Fill her car up with a tank of gas. Cancer is expensive and it's hell making ends meet.
). Call your churches and get her rent paid for a month.
). Just go lay by her after chemo so she is not alone.
). Hug her close and let her be afraid.
). Take the kids for a slumber party at your home. We try to hide our fear and sickness to keep from hurting or worrying our family by our tears.
). A massage works miracles.
). Make time for her. As your life goes on, her's is truly a daily battle.
). Drop her a card in the mail with a letter expressing how she's touched your life over the years.
). Photograph her and her family and don't charge her.
). Tell her daily that you love her.
Hopefully, many of you will do some of these things for her. Don't ask her. Just let her know you'll be making dinner on a certain night and dropping it off for the family. Or please mail her a check, drop it off, something. Believe me... She needs it. Just one of my co-pays for one med was $333.00. So, I hope everyone will comment and commit to what they will do to make her journey less stressful. Let's all pull together and all show Donna how much we love and care for her. This is a fight that prayers, friends and actions are needed. Come on facebook friends. Let's make some things happen for Donna.
