Help fulfill Ajay's bucket list

Donation protected

We have changed this from Medical expenses to Bucket List but i wanted to leave the first story up so everyone could see. Ajay got his first wish. A black lab puppy which he named Sissy Lynn. There was an instant bond between the 2 of them. Her favorite place to be is in the bed with Ajay. He has a lot of other things he would like to do in the time he has left so please share Ajay's story and lets help him complete his buckets list while he still has time!

My name is Michele, but this isn't about me. The young man in the photo is my 14 yr old brother in law, Ajay King. Yesterday October 6th, Ajay was diagnosed with a very fast moving progressive form of bone cancer. I want to give you a little background about Ajay.  Ajay was born premature, only weighed 3lbs and was addicted to drugs. The Drs didn't think he would make it.  His mother named him and left the hospital. My in laws at the time were foster parents and my Mother In Law Ellen spent every day at the hospital with Ajay, holding him, talking to him, and telling him he had to get better so she could take him home. It wasn't long after they brought Ajay home from the hospital that they made the decision they were no longer going to be foster parents they were going to adopt Ajay and give him the best life they could. At the age of 2 Ajay was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease. What is Kawasaki's disease? Kawasaki disease is a rare childhood illness that affects the blood vessels. Kawasaki disease can harm the coronary arteries, which carry blood to the heart muscle. It is very rare less than 20,000 cases a year. This caused Ajay's body to turn red and swell, he couldn't  even walk it hurt him so much. At the age of 4 Ajay was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Despite all of these things Ajay has been a happy child. He has excelled at everything he does. He has been a state champion basketball player. He taught himself how to draw and is an AMAZING artist. The drawing he is holding with the flag and statue of liberty he won 3rd place in the 2016 Congressional Art Competition. Ajay is in High School but is currently taking College classes so be can become a CSI Lab technician when he graduates college. Now that you know alittle about Ajay, we need to explain our situation.  We live in a small town, no hospital, and the Doctor that is going to treat Ajay is 180+ miles away. We do not know how many times a week we will have to make this trip.  Not only will we have the cost of gas, food and possible lodging. The insurance will not pay for all the medical expenses. We have set our goal for 20,000 but i am sure we are going to need alot more than this. Any thing you can give even if its just $1 dollar would be greatly appreciated.
