Get a liver to Lynne!

Hello, my name is Chrystal and I am raising money to help my Mom (Shawna)  pay for travel and other expenses to be a living liver donor to her sister(Lynne), who has liver cancer. About a year ago Lynne was having severe abdominal pain and went to the hospital, it was then she found out she has liver cancer.  She has undergone chemo which has shrunk the tumors, however this cancer will return quickly without a new liver.  Lynne has a rare blood type so finding a donor is difficult,  luckily my Mom has the same blood type and offered...well maybe demanded...to see if she could be a donor.  Logistics make being a donor a little more difficult as Shawna lives in BC and Lynne in Toronto.  As a first step Shawna underwent testing in Victoria to see if it would be a possibilty that she could be a donor, those came back positive so the next step was going to Toronto for a week for more tests, which she did last month.  All of those have come back positive as well so the next step in traveling back to Toronto again for one last test (liver biopsy) and if that goes well they will be scheduling the transplant! The money raised will go towards the flights, expenses acrued from having to be off work and in Toronto for a month for the surgery and recovery, and any additional would help to pay for care after she returns home as the recovery takes up to 3 months (housekeeping/gardening etc). My Auntie Lynne is a wonderful lady who deserves many more years, she just had her first Grandbaby and should be here to watch her grow up.  My Mom has not asked for any money, but this is such a selfless act and I'd like to help relieve the financial burden that comes along with it.  Thank you in advance to anyone who donates!!
