Latvian Women's Lacrosse National Team - World Championships
Since the Latvian National Women’s Lacrosse Team was founded in 2011, we have made incredible strides of success. With a recent 9th place finish in the 2019 European Championships in Israel, our team has been invited to compete in the 2022 Women's World Championships in Towson, Maryland, USA from June 26 – July 9, 2022. This event is the major international championship for women’s lacrosse, and in 2022 will showcase the top female lacrosse players in the world representing 30 member countries from the four Continental Federations.
We are the smallest of the competing countries, but our team is made up of strong women who share a love for the game of lacrosse and a deep pride to represent our country.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to lessen the financial burden facing our team on the road to Towson. While we will receive a partial grant from the government and the Latvia Lacrosse Federation, the amount covers only 35% of the total cost to travel and play in the Women's World Championships.
Please help us offset these costs and ease the large financial responsibility that is put on each individual player. Your generous donation will help our National Team members pay for:
- Field rental in Latvia for pre-tournament practices / training camps
- Airfare to USA
- Lodging / meals at World Championships
- Tournament participation fee
- Training and medical supplies
- Necessary equipment and uniforms
