Hello everyone,
I'm here to update you on the first phase of my journey here at YWAM. I have been living in Kona, Hawaii with ten roommates from all over the world.
It is my first time living out on my own away from family and friends. So to share a place full of diverse people I have never met was a challenge in the beginning. With time these people who I have been eating, worshipping, studying and sleeping together with became my brothers in Christ.
During this first phase of DTS, I have been challenged with many things. Facing many of these challenges head on has revealed a lot about me that I was not aware of until now. It was a time of testing my character in ways where I would see myself change the way I would normally respond to things.
In the beginning, it was hard to know what to focus on and I wanted to know what part I had in this particular Awaken DTS. So I prayed a tremendous amount. Then I realized, this DTS was for a time of understanding who God is and who He says I am. I also wanted to say I am truly walking by faith at this point. I am excited to see where He will lead me in the next couple of months for my next journey.
I am currently on my last week here in Kona before I head out for outreach. I will be going to Austrailia and Papa New Guinea for the next couple of months. It is $3,000 for this mission outreach. I am in the middle of paying this finance.
