Fighting together for TINA!!

Most people set aside money for "just in case" purposes such as: car troubles, home repairs, rent and mortgages. Never did I think Tina would need a "just in case" account for C A N C E R.

One month ago today, Tina went into the ER assuming the illness she had been fighting off for weeks was pneumonia. After blood tests, diagnostics and a very unpleasant bone marrow tap....the heartbreaking diagnosis of LEUKEMIA was revealed.

Tina has Acute Myeloid Leukemia which affects the red and white blood cells and platelets in the bone marrow and bloodstream. It is a progressive form of leukemia which is why treatments had to begin instantaneously.

She was transferred immediately to the cancer center where she completed an entire one week of continuous chemotherapy. Next, a 2nd bone marrow tap was done. Sadly, the doctors confirmed that Tina would need to do another course of chemotherapy. Ultimately, this led to a massive brain bleed.

Surgery is not an option due to Tina's low blood counts (despite the multitude of transfusions Tina has had). She has irreversible brain damage and remains on a ventilator in critical condition.
Tina is now fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit.

Cancer is undoubtedly a dreadful disease. One that we never would think would affect our loved ones. However... it is real. It does occur.
It is happening to OUR Tina.
