JCA Staff

As you know, JCA has been closed. Our amazing and hardworking staff have received their entitlements and not redundancies. Although this is the legal requirement, we do not believe it is best moral or ethical practice. Our staff have given so much of themselves over so many years, that we feel this to be a grave injustice for them to now face financial hardship and uncertainty because of the sacrifices they have made for JCA. We have attempted to petition those responsible for this decision, to no avail. We feel that further efforts to negotiate are futile and have taken it upon ourselves to raise the money for their redundancies. We believe the JCA family needs to take care of its own, regardless of the injustice perpetrated here.

If you can contribute to this cause, please do so. All money raised will be distributed to staff members according to need, rather than as an equal distribution. We have debated the ethics of this to the best of our ability and have decided this is the best way to go. We have not consulted further as we believe time is of the essence in this situation. We also have not consulted the staff themselves, as they would probably refuse to let us. We have considered the ethics of this as well, and believe that raising the money is the right thing to do, above the insult to their dignity.
