I am Maria Fatima Viscaya Guray, 33 years of age, a resident of #20 Purok Pidawan, Loakan Proper, Baguio City, Philippines. I have two beautiful daughters, my eldest is Sophia Zabrine Viscaya Guray, she is 7 years old. Sophia was born April 10, 2010 and she was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia (a childhood disease of the liver in which one or more bile ducts are abnormally narrow, blocked, or absent. The ratio of a newborn having the disease is 1 out of 20,000). Before her fourth month she has undergone a procedure called Kasai (an initial treatment for biliary atresia, an operation where the bile ducts are removed, and a loop of intestine is brought up to replace them. The definitive treatment for biliary atresia is liver transplant.). For 7 years we were blessed that she had no complications of her disease although she takes oral medication daily. Until August 31, 2017, when she vomited blood while preparing her for school, we rushed her to the hospital and then reality bite us. Since then we have been in and out the hospital, her previous hospitalizations dated August 31 to September 4 (SLU Hospital), September 6 to September 8 (SLU Hospital) then ambulance transferred to BGHMC and was admitted from September 8 to September 17, October 29 to November 8 then November 13 to November 21 same diagnosis Chronic Liver Failure.
My daughter is needing Liver Transplant worth 2 Million pesos that will be held in India, the cheapest so far with 90 % success rate. We are hoping and praying that we can miraculously fund her transplant by the end of January 2018.
On behalf of my family, we are asking for financial assistance in any amount.
