A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed

Patrick McLaughlin is a veteran Bluesman in Columbus, Ohio, who has won many IBC awards for his musical work. Patrick is known by many, and if you are in his inner circle of late, you know Patrick is in a very dark place right now. Many of us have seen it coming on ... and have been there once ourselves for one reason or another, but it is very dark for Patrick right now. No matter the circumstances life hands us down, Musicians as a whole, are not very financially stable, unless they have another God given talent that earns them a decent living and allows them to take off from work on a regular basis. Rick? And others? Patrick has admitted to me he has some serious personal issues that have developed over the years and that my friends, was his first step. Then he has taken his second step in volunteeringly asking for help, via a 30 day treatment program (venue unknown). If you are a friend, or if you are a fan, a previous band member, or a past client of his very artistic work .... and I know there are hundreds of you .... it might be time for you to show a little love for Patrick, right here, and right now, with a monetary donation ... and please quit  bashing him on fb. This 30 day treatment program will NOT help him with rent, food, the required monthly child support payment, cell phone, utilities, uber (yes, he has no drivers license) and more as he has already lost his place with Red Oakley, and he will most likely loose his Tuesday Jam at The Crazy Mule, and his kitchen work with me at Rush Creek because I can't go 30 days without his kitchen help ... so when he get released from treatment in a month from now. There will be a warrant out for Child Support, he will have no paying gigs ... hell he might not even have a place to live. This my Blues friends ... is the time to put your money where your mouth is and NO I am not going to sponsor a CBA Blues Event for him .... it is 2018 and our way to support our OWN and one of our Bluesy friends and a staple of the Columbus, Ohio Blues Scene .... is HERE.
