Dominican Republic Missions Trip Fund

Hi Connor here, I am currently doing a full-time unpaid internship at my church in san marcos, called the father's house and where I am taking bible college classes. The reason I write to you, is because I have been given an amazing opportunity to go on a two week mission's trip to the Dominican Republic at the end of may 2014! my team of 11 people will be partnering with a missionary couple from the DR who run a christian community center for the university students year around. they open up a center for students to study, find community, and they offer bible classes as well! during our time there we will be going on multiple medical outreaches, visiting senior citizens in retirement homes, bring supplies and playing with the kids at the welfare hospital, running fun kids events for the kids in the slums, and much more! we hope to put in practice all that we've learned in our internship while we are there. We want to show the love of christ to everyone we encounter in this beautiful, yet very impoverished, country. this trip will cost approximately $1500 for each person; this includes everything from airfare, food, ministry supplies, and housing. The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the mission trip. we are currently holding fund-raisers and reaching out to members of the church for finical support, but our team could very much use your help as well! every penny collected will be used to benefit the people of the dominican republic, by sponsoring our trip and the supplies we will bring with us. any and all contribution will be greatly appreciated.
