SWAT Standoff destroyed home

On July 25th Wesley Little showed up on my Mothers doorstep with a 15 yr old girl that he had abducted.   My sister Deanna Cook had by chance seen the post about the missing girl earlier in the day, my family having dealt with Wes in past knew him to be a shady character and knew that the girl with him was in imminent danger.  When Wes showed up with the girl, my sister figured he had learned the house was on the market and figured it was vacant.  The house was under contract and set to close on August 26th.  Wes said he needed to park his car in the garage and as calmly as possible my sister said she was on her way to the store anyway so pull around and he could pull in as she was leaving.  She escaped without alarming the kidnapper and called the police.  My mother and sister, fearing for the girls life, provided the police with the lockbox, garage and alarm codes and gave them complete access to the home to protect the girl.   The good news is the girl, Haliee, was released unharmed and is now back with her grandparents.   The bad news is after every door in the house was broken down, windows smashed, fence torn down,  tear gas was released, and Wes Little committed suicide on my mom's bed.  The house is completely unsellable and needs to be completely gutted and rebuilt to remove the teargas from the walls.  The police victims fund only protects people like Haliee  for physical and emotional damage.  The insurance company is saying they aren't responsible for "government" damage.  So my Mother is left in limbo.  The sale of that house was her retirement security.  She has spent her entire life fighting for, and helping people and now I'm fighting for her.  These pictures unfortunately don't show the tear gas damage that is what makes the house completely uninhabitable even if we did repair the remaining damage.  We are a pro police family and we are not blaming the individual officers involved.  The questions that remain are why did this happen and why is it my Mothers responsibility to pay all the damages when it was my Mother and sister that were crucial in saving that girl? Please if you cannot donate share this.  This story has received ZERO media coverage and the more exposure we get the more help we can get my Mother.   Thank you for reading!
