Gary Jones' family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with his fight against Multiple Myeloma. Please show your support any way you can by making a donation today and help share his plight!
Gary Jones is a very compassionate person and he is always seeking to help others even while fighting his own battle. Gary was diagnosed 3 ½ years ago with Multiple Myeloma which is a hematologic cancer of the blood. Gary had to stop working after his diagnosis due to his health condition and medical treatments. Since taking chemotherapy for three years his current medicine stop responding. Gary’s Doctors have tried 4 FDA approved drugs for his condition. This news was devastating to Gary and now his condition is progressing. Moreover, Gary’s Oncology team decided to perform Genomic Testing of his genes to find a targeted Chemotherapy by mapping his DNA. Three weeks later the Oncology team discovered two drugs that could possibly work together. The copay for both drugs is $5,000 per month out of pocket expenses. Gary is seeking assistance with non-charitable organizations in conjunction with raising funds.
The proposed treatment plan that the doctors would like to move forward with is to prescribe Gary with the drugs Palbociclib and Revlimid - he will take the drugs orally for 2 months; the doctors will then complete a bone biopsy to determine if the medicine is working as planned. Gary will have to go to the doctor’s office weekly for blood work. The doctors have also informed him of the harsh side effects expected as he takes the medication. The Doctor’s goals are to reverse his progression and find a maintenance plan once he goes into remission
Yes, we are exercising our faith and believing God for total healing! We are in constant Prayer that God continues to guide Gary's treatment team and give them daily wisdom.
