In 1984, founder Bill Austin started the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Based on the simple premise, "Alone we can't do much. But, together we can change the world," the Foundation has funded a worldwide outreach program called "So the World May Hear," that has distributed nearly 500,000 hearing aids around the world to people in need.

For those of you that know me I have had some significant life changes over the recent years with respect to my career path and financial status, as well as my living arrangements. These changes have led to some very significant decisions going forward that I am extremely excited about. One of these decisions is to spend more time giving to various causes through my efforts of raising funds and awareness for foundations, programs or organizations that are of importance to me. Through some dear friends, I have been invited to raise money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation's annual "So the World May Hear" Awards Gala on July 28th, 2013. http://www.starkeyhearingfoundation.org/galas/
It is my intention to attend this event and raise the $5,000 needed to cover my admissions ticket. For every $5,000 that you help me raise, together we can help give 250 people the gift of hearing.
