Mission Trip to Honduras

I am fundraising to be able to go on a mission trip to Honduras through my church July 18-28. I have always believed in living a life of service. So in addition to all the ways the mission trip will benefit those we serve, it will also fulfill a lifelong dream for myself.  The majority of our time will be spent at My Little Lambs in Taulabe & at Eternal Family in Pena Blanca.  We will be working with orphaned children doing a number of activities including crafts, vacation bible school activities, sports & other activities to be determined by the children.  While at the facilities we will be doing a variety of projects or manual labor depending on the current needs of the facilities. These can include cleaning, repairs or actual construction. I also hope to be able to provide some form of health education to the community & exercise activites for the children. We will spend the last few days of our trip in San Pedro Sula where we will be working with His Hands for Honduras to build a church in a small community just outside the city. We will also be providing food & other needed items for children at the local school & for those living in the slums of Rio Blanco. We will be serving the poorest of the poor sharing the life, love & light of Jesus. Through Him, there is Hope & Light out of the darkness.  It is my hope to spread God's Word & love to other's in need.
