My grandson Mason was diagnosed last August with a very rare form of brain cancer called AT/RT We have been fighting very hard he has gone through chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, radiation and them more chemotherapy He has had several major brain surgeries two to remove the Tumor to to only have it return again! Although Rainbows says there is nothing more they can do to save him along with St Jude's we are not stopping. At this point we have been accepted by Dr Packer at Washington National in Washington DC for a third opinion to possibly qualify for a clinical trial. Mason is currently undergoing radiation if his spine in Cleveland to (what they say) is only to prolong the inevitable. Once again WE DO NOT ACCEPT THIS!) we will be traveling to Washington DC in one month to see Dr Packer, Mason has to complete radiation before we go. We are also waiting to hear back from Dana Farber in Boston a a different clinical trial. Last night we were blessed by a organization in Cleveland called A Special Wish and given the gift of a Disney trip for our family!!!! We are hoping to go the end of October. This gift includes our airfare, accommodations, park passes to Disney and Universal and meals at our resort and 500 cash. But we will need to cover additional spending money for souvenirs, meals at the parks and misc items to prepare for this once in a life time trip! We are hoping that we will have enough money to purchase a camera/video camera to capture EVERY MOMENT of this adventure! This trips includes Tony (Mason's and Kassies Dad) Nicole (their mom, my daughter) Mason and his sister Kassie my two minor children Emily and Zachary and myself. They were not able to include my husband (Masons Papa) do to limitations from their program. We are able to pay out of pocket for him to be a part of this but he is fine with staying back home and continuing to work to help provide for our families everyday living expenses. We wish we weren't going to Florida under these circumstances but plan on making it the vacation of a life time!!! We will be able to make unforgettable memories with Mason that will last a lifetime!!!!! Our FIRST priority will ALWAYS be to find a cure for Mason so this fight is far from over! We have gone through a healthy portion of our donations to date by traveling to St Jude's and in Mason's lifestyle alone. We have changed his diet and gone the natural approach with modern medicine treatment but none of this is covered by his insurance. WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP, WE WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING!!!!!! Iv NEVER BEGGED FOR MONEY IN MY LIFE BUT I Am TODAY!!! This little boy is a miracle and words will never be able to express the love we have for him! God bless
