This is Darlene. Her name alone is perfect. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She tries to keep the family together with pure love, never asking for anything in return.
She has been a Family worker for the NYC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION for the past 20+yrs of her life. She loves her job so much.
Unfortunately last year she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. She has been through not one but two chemotherapy treatments which apparently didn't work.
She's now receiving radiation treatment but that alone will not work.
The Doctors want to try a new treatment that could possibly save her life, but due to the fact that she was forced to take a leave from work for the past year her insurance coverage was dropped. This treatment that is needed is approximately $10,000.
