Natalia passed away leaving three young children

Donation protected
My daughter-in-law passed. Natalia was a mother to three wonderful children. She was born with poor health, but she never let it stop her from living life to the fullest. Unfortunately, she was taken suddenly to the hospital on Jan 2nd complaining about weakness, and after a fierce battle, she succumbed to heart failure on Jan 17th. This death was not expected, and it is surreal that I am writing this letter. She is survived by her husband, David, and their young children, Tali (3), Yakov (8), and Elan (12). Throughout a lifetime, you experience many heartaches. I thought I was prepared for this, but nothing could prepare me for watching my son explain to his children that their mother has gone to Heaven. Seeing the confusion in my granddaughter’s eyes because she is too young to understand but senses something is wrong. Watching Tali panic when her brother Yakov is just old enough to understand but cries hysterically because, at 8, but can’t comprehend his mom is gone. The oldest, Elan, who sensed it was coming, tries to be supportive but is scared and refuses to cry as he comforts his sibling.

My son now finds himself thrust into the role of a single dad raising three young children on his own, one being a 4-year-old stubborn (like her grandma) girl. Natalie and David squirreled away some money to move to a larger apartment so Tali could have her own room; she says she is a big girl! He now finds himself in financial distress with the loss of a second source of income, three weeks out of work, and all the expenses associated with a death in the family and now having to pay for daycare. All their saving is gone. No one can be prepared to lose their significant other; I don’t care how old they are, but to lose someone at 33 in the prime of their life unexpectedly can ruin a family. My son is strong, and so are the children. I hope we raise enough money to get them back on the road to recovery, at least financially. It will take years for the family to heal emotionally, though I don’t think you can completely heal.

The goal of $150,000 is to help David and the children with the following:

Funeral expenses
Medical Bills
Upcoming necessary childcare costs
Living arrangements
Contingency funds to provide David with flexibility
