Our Baby Girl.........Janae Nicole Jones

Donation protected
Janae Nicole Jones was born on April 26, 2013 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh,NC.....she came into this world weighing 5 pounds and 4 ounces and she was 18 1/2 inches long.......but the life story of baby girl Janae began long before her birthday. It began in October of 2011 with the unity of Derrick and Creesha (Hogan) Jones.

Though not conceived immediately after her parents were married, Janae was definitely on the hearts and minds of her parents and her big brother Javarian (Jay). Like many other newlyweds, Derrick and Creesha desired to have a new addition to their family. They were God-Parents to many children and loved them as their own, with God's unconditional love. So their journey began, the journey to bring Janae Nicole Jones into this world.

The first leg of Janae's journey was somewhat rocky and also questionable as her parents discovered that there were issues surrounding the idea of her even being able to be conceived. Creesha and Derrick received news that Creesha had a rather large fibroid tumor that could end her chances of having another child. But Creesha and Derrick did not give up, they prayed and trusted God to give them the desires of their heart....a beautiful baby girl.

As time passed the couple continued to try and conceive, Creesha's tumor grew and surgery seemed to be her only option. But would surgery be the solution to this issue? Only God knew and they continued to trust Him. They trusted him with their whole-heart, with all their being and just like the Sovereign God that He is, He delivered. With a painfully large fibroid tumor growing inside her body, Creesha conceived.....the Jones were pregnant!

Creesha experienced all of the normal symptoms of pregnancy including a crazy craving for strawberry shortcakes! Jay was excited to become a big brother and talked to his unborn sibling everyday; it became one of his favorite after school activities along with rubbing his mom's belly. Creesha prayed for a girl and Derrick prayed that she would look just like her mommy. It really didn't take much to please the Jones. They were just grateful!

And again, God answered. The couple learned they would become parents to a baby girl. It wasn't long after that, that a name was chosen and Baby Girl, Janae Nicole Jones was well on her way into the world. But not so long after receiving this joyous news, the Jones received news that Creesha had diabetes and also high blood pressure, both common ailments of pregnant mothers, but also very dangerous.

Due to increased complications from the diabetes and high blood pressure Creesha was soon placed on bed rest and could no longer continue to work. Her diabetes and high blood pressure were often at extremely high levels due to the pregnancy, but Creesha would give her life to give birth to Janae.........she continued to trust God.

A few weeks later Creesha and Derrick were told that her labor would be induced in an effort to secure a safe labor and delivery for she and Janae. She would report to her Dr. on April 30th for a procedure that would test how well Janae's lungs had developed. A couple days after she would be induced and Janae would be here............

On Wednesday, April 24, 2013 Creesha, Derrick and Jay arrived at Rex Women's Center after discovering that Janae had been inactive for an extended period of time. Shortly after midnight on Thursday, April 25, it was determined that a heart beat could not be found for Janae. She had transitioned in her mother's womb and was presently with the Lord in spirit. On Friday, April 26, 2013 at 12:14 pm, Janae Nicole Jones' body was delivered into this earth in the presence of her father, Derrick, her brother Jay and in the hearts and minds of countless family and friends.

Join us in giving her the memorial she deserves. Help us in giving Christ glory as we celebrate her life.
