Your minimal donation will go a long way. There is strength in numbers and we hope you will take the next five minutes to support Paul's recovery to what will be a "new normal" for Paul and his family.
A little over a year ago in January, Paul was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a lung disease, which as of now, has no known cure or cause. After his incredibly trying diagnosis, Paul has beaten the odds by surviving a double lung transplant performed at the Cleveland Clinic.
His recovery is not without complications and soon after the lung transplant both his legs would need to be amputated below the knee due to circulation problems brought on by procedures prior to the transplants. He continues his comeback while still receiving medical treatment home in Cheshire CT along with trips back to the Cleveland Clinic every three months for follow up procedures.
Surviving a diagnosis like this presents numerous physical and financial challenges and it is our hope you will help us eliminate a small portion of the burden associated with this disease
Paul has had incredible devotion form his wife Noreen, and his two children Matt, 20 a junior at Brown University and daughter Emma, 17 a senior at Cheshire High School.
Paul, an All Yankee Conference tight end at the University of New Hampshire in the `80's, developed into a highly respected Head Coach at Sacred Heart University the past 8 years. He also held coaching positions at Brown University, University of Massachusetts, University of New Haven, and the University of New Hampshire during his coaching career.
