Anthony Gabbard's Funeral Expenses

Today I got a call from a good friend while mowing the grass.  I answered the phone how I would typically answer his calls, a little smart ass and humor.  Instead of getting a smart ass reply, it was his wife Ramona and I could hear in her voice something was wrong.  She let me know that Anthony passed away this morning.  I was actually confused at first at what was going on since I had just talked to him 3 days ago.  Even as I write this it’s not fully set in what has happened.  So while I am still clear minded I wanted to get started on how I can help him and his family deal with the financial hardship that awaits. Unfortunately, he did not have life insurance and now needs help more than I can express.

         I met Anthony over 7 years ago and we both run small IT companies and know the stress and dedication it takes to be self-employed.  Our paths crossed trying to take care of a mutual customer that we had from different projects we were working.  After we completed the project we saw an opportunity to work with each other to make more money.  Running a small business is a much harder thing than most people realize and any opportunity to make more money is always worth talking about.  As we figured out how we could help each other’s business we hit it off instantly.  We share almost nothing in common yet we always had something to talk about that we both were interested in.  His humor and mine mixed better than people I have known all my life and it will be sorely missed. 

         Anyone that had the privilege to know Anthony will know that he had much more to give this world and it’s a better place because of him.  He always had everyone’s best interest at heart and literally would give you the shirt off of his back.  He truly was a great husband, father and friend to many.  God bless and rest in peace my friend, I miss you already.
