Scyy's Ski Racing Olympic Dream

Hello, my name is Scyy Williams, I am a 14-year-old Alpine Ski Racer with the Waterville Valley Ski Team(BBTS). My family and friends know how much I dream to earn a place on the US Ski team and compete in the Winter Olympics! I train hard all year. Days durning ski season typically start at 5:30am with tempature at -10 degrees and end at 10pm.  My training consist of  on snow ski training 6 days a week and 4 days a week strength training while maintaining a 3.8 gpa and attending school 5 days a week. I live 172 miles from my family for months at times usually (6-8 months). My parents never miss a race they drive 344 miles round trip every weekend. During the new England's  off season, I maintain my strength through endurance training with a personal trainer 3 times a week for 90 minutes.   I also my bike ride 7-10 miles everyday.  I have traveled to Colorado for on snow ski training durning the New England off season. With the help of this fund I would hopefully be able to get to Austria for more on snow training.  

Last season, my last race at Waterville Valley I earned my first medal. This medal is one of the first of many more to come. I love this sport so much, but anyone who skis knows that the equipment required to train and compete are very pricey! 40K a season is what I need to continue my dream and stay at  Waterville Valley with all my teammates.

My mom and dad work really hard and have taken on loans to help me continue training, but between myself and my sibling's school costs, we need this GoFundMe campaign to help with the costs!

My time at Waterville Valley Academy means so much to me, and I would hate to have to end this journey that I started 6 years ago to become the 1st Black & Puerto Rican Olympian to medal.
