Aloha family and friends,
My name is Monica Dagupion, fiancé of Matthew Tette. Our journey began in the beginning of 2015, Matthew began experiencing pain in his leg that looked like a rash but was excruciating pain. After many tests, finally was given a diagnosis. In July Matthew was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma (blood cancer). By August we were already in IBVD chemotherapy treatment. We completed chemo in February 2016. Before we completed treatment a pet scan was performed and seemed like it was in the clear. However, a follow up pet scan shows some concerning anomalies in his neck, which prompted surgery on Matthews lymph node to find out if the cancer still exists. Surely, became positive on 9/12/16.
Due to this recurrent cancer, Kaiser is unable to perform the treatment that Matthew needs. We will begin ICEE chemo treatment in October, which he will be admitted to the hospital for treatment. On one off one, two treatments. Then test to see if the cancer has shrank. Followed by us flying to California to city of hope for bone marrow transplant and further chemo treatment. This will be our most challenging moment in our life.
We don't have the ability to deal with this financial hardship and ask for your help.
We appreciate your love and support previously and currently. Please keep us in your prayers as we face these challenging times.
With love and aloha
Matthew and Monica
