What Community Center you ask? Virginia, Illinois is a small Midwestern town with a population of 1600. It does not have a community center to serve the youth or its aging population. Virginia's Square One, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to save the historic buildings downtown on the square. The former Ben Franklin store on the square is crumbling before our eyes so it has been identified as the next project to rehab creating a win-win for the community as one building is saved from the wrecking ball and the community will receive a lovely multi-purpose center for everyone to use.
