St Charles Lacrosse Brain Injury Walk

In 2013, The St Charles (Illinois) Lacrosse Club Walk to Support BIAI (the Brain Injury Association of Illinois) was in honor of Matt "Huff Daddy" Huffman, who passed away due to head trauma in August 2012.

Matt's death was a great loss to our lacrosse family. "Huff Daddy" played for Saint Charles Lacrosse from 2007 to 2010, and was a member of the StC State Semifinal team in 2009 and 2010. In 2012 he returned to the Club as an Assistant Coach for the StC Girls JV team.

Our 2014 Walk to Support BIAI is in honor of Matt Huffman and Kyle Slinker, a 2012 graduate of St Charles North High School who died due to head trauma suffered in a traffic accident in April 2014. Like Matt, Kyle's zeal for life was matched only by his sense of humor. Kyle led a life full of love and kindness, and no-one who met him will ever forget his megawatt smile.

The 2014 Brain Injury Walk is Sunday, April 27, at the Duerr Forest Preserve in South Elgin, Illinois.  You need not attend the Walk to support it. Please make your donation here in any amount. 100% of your donation here goes to the Brain Injury Association of Illinois in Kyle and Matt's name.
