Dear Family and Friends:
I am proud to announce that as of this moment I am in route to graduate December 15, 2013 from Georgia State University (GSU). I am very pleased to inform you that I will be obtaining two bachelor degrees in Spanish and Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Birth-5 and an additional Special Education Endorsement. I have maintained an honors status throughout my time here and have been actively involved in campus life.
I am currently enrolled to take my final classes this summer 2013 semester. As part of my enrollment, I'm required to pay the summer tuition amount directly to GSU. Although taking these classes will ensure that I am able to graduate this December, I will not be able to qualify for financial aid to help pay for school.
Beginning May 1, 2013, I will have exhausted my Hope and Pell Grant during 2012-2013 school years. Hope limits 127 semester hours, once a student reaches either the Attempted-Hours limit or the Combined Paid-Hours limit; he or she is no longer eligible for the HOPE Scholarship. Pell is only offered during two semester, typically fall and spring, and cannot be utilized after it is exceeded.
Your help is desperately needed! The total cost for my summer tuition, including books, is $4,800; TUITION AND FEES PAYMENT ARE DUE: 5:00 P.M. on May 14, 2013. Nonpayment of tuition and fees may result in class cancellation. Your donation of any amount would be a great help toward my reaching this goal. You can make a contribution of a sum of your choice. Your donations can help me complete my dream of finishing school and having a professional career in education.
