Abby's Fight Round Three
Donation protected
Abby Layh, 14, was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) in 2013. Abby’s family including mum Libby, her sister Jessy and two brothers Kyle and Ben were by Abby’s side supporting her in her fight.
Unfortunately AML raised its ugly head again for Abby in 2015. Abby’s gorgeous big sister Jessy decided that she would donate her bone marrow to Abby.
Sadly, Abby relapsed in 2016. Libby, Jessy, Kyle and Ben are once again standing strong right beside Abby as she goes through her round three fight against AML. Kyle has just donated his stem cells to Abby in an effort to beat this horrible disease.
Libby has for the last thirteen years been working for the Department for Child Protection and Family supporting children to be safe with their families and in their communities. After so many years supporting other children Libby now needs to focus all her energy on supporting her own family in this tough time.
Whilst we cannot take the cancer away we can try to reduce the day to day pressure and stress from this family by helping out with some of the practicalities that go with living 800 km’s away from Perth and managing two households while Abby is accessing the extended treatment required.
Let’s all unite to support this family and help out by donating.
