Raise The Roof for 2nd Chelmsford

We’re 2nd Chelmsford Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give over 100 people aged 6-16 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always.

We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

To do all of this, we need somewhere to hold our meetings and we've been lucky enough to have a hall in Springfield for this. Unfortunately, the roof of the building has come to the end of it's life and needs to be replaced. Due to the construction of the current roof, it's not a cheap project and so we're asking you to help us out. Everyone at 2nd Chelmsford will be so grateful for whatever you're able to donate to help us keep delivering skills for life to the young people of Chelmsford.

Update - March 2022: We've finally managed to raise enough to get our new roof! Work will begin at the end of this month. We're so, so grateful to everyone who has supported us so far. There is still more to do though, once the new roof is in, we'll need to do some overdue repair work to various walls which we've been unable to do whilst the roof is damaged. We'd also like to add some new facilities such as projection screens and speakers to allow our leaders to deliver more interactive sessions for our young people.
