2nd Grade First Chapter Friday Fun

My name is Kelsey Brown, but the kids in my daughter's second grade class call me Miss Kelsey. My daughter is in Mrs. Johns' class at Whitesides Elementary. Whitesides is a Title1 school with some really amazing students.
Each Friday I go to Mrs. Johns' class to read the students one chapter of an early chapter book, usually the first in a series. You should see the kids' faces as I read. They are always so sad when I finish that first chapter each week and they don't know what happens next. To find out, they have to read it for themselves (I tell them). My goal is to instill a love of reading in them.
It's working! Throughout the week, students run up to me to tell me where they are in the book. They get so excited to share what is happening to their beloved characters.
Although the kids can check out the books from the city library where I put them on hold, most of these students never make it to the library. I provide a QR code with a link to purchase the book on Amazon but in our low income area, financial priorities usually aren't for new books. So I would like to purchase copies of the books to donate to the school library. I just don't have enough money to buy multiple copies of them all.
So I am asking for your help to fund the purchase of as many books as possible! So far we have read Princess Pink and the Land of Fake Believe, The Kingdom of Wrenly, The Magic Treehouse, The Last Firehawk, Katie Kazoo Switcharoo, Stink (The Incredible Shrinking Kid), Magic Bone, Junie B. Jones, & Horrible Harry. I have so many more planned that I cannot wait to share with these eager little readers.
