2nd Cork Scouts - Bathroom Upgrade
WHO WE ARE
We are a scout group based on Doyle Road in the Ballyphehane/Turners Cross area of South Cork City. The group is one of the oldest in the country, formerly St. Finbarr’s unit 2nd/7th/15th/20th/58th Cork, founded in 1930 to provide scouting to the youth of South Parish and surrounding areas. We have over 100 members and continue to grow bigger every year. We are volunteer driven with zero staff, 20 volunteers, and many supporters!
We are deep-rooted in the community and aim to give back wherever we can. Our premises is available to other community groups to use, and we regularly partake in community and charitable events.
THE PROJECT
The bathrooms, built in the 1950s, are now in much need of an upgrade, to meet standards for accessibility and safety. We cannot fund this project ourselves, with all our income spent on the day-to-day operation of the group.
We need your help to get this project over the line. Full details are available on our website https://2ndcork.weebly.com/fundraising.html
