Family In Need: Mother Passed @ 42

My friend Gigi was a loving & hardworking mother of two and wife, who lost her own mother six months ago, and just passed away suddenly Sept 2nd 2016...leaving behind her two children and her husband. Her husband just recently arrived from the Philippines. She held two jobs to make ends meet, often getting just an hour, or two hours of sleep a night...which likely contributed to her passing away from a severe infection that took her away from her family, and us her friends at the young age of 42! We are grieving and mourning her loss, but her children and husband still have to live and survive...so I am prayerfully asking anyone who feels touched or led, to donate anything possible for Gigi's family. We miss her so much and are still in shock, but her children and husband are even more so. Thank you for your time and consideration... May God bless you, and be with Gigi's two kids & husband especially...amen.

THANK YOU everyone so much for your generosity and compassion for Gigi's children & surviving husband Melvin! I upped the goal from $1000 to $2000 the day after I set this up due to wanting to provide as much financial support for them as possible...YOU ALL & THE LORD  MADE IT HAPPEN! Salamat!

For complete transparency I will photo each check sent to them with the bank info blocked out. We will be withdrawing the first amount today and getting it sent out as soon as the funds clear (gofundme says 2-5 business days from request). I really appreciate the gestures of love & prayers & financial support during this difficult time for Gigi's family! God bless each of you and please continue to pray for them & if you feel led, support financially.

Lastly, I will increase the goal to $3500 since we have met the first 2 goals of $1000 then $2000 in less than a week, and I don't want to discourage anyone from contributing if they feel led to do so, just because we reached some arbitrary amount. If we reach another goal and you still feel led to help Gigi's family, please do so if you'd like to help them. At the same time, I am sensitive to contually shifting goals and don't want anyone to think that we will never reach the goal...no, we have met it twice already! Amen to that and thank you again! But I don't want to dissuade anyone from helping just because we reached this milestone of $2000. Again for each round I will be posting the check being sent to Gigi's husband Melvin & their kids.
