Hello, my name is Justin. I currently live with my mom and 11 year old little brother, Daniel. Around 3 months ago, my brother fell ill and then 2 months ago, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He has been very sick during these past months. Due to the need of constantly caring for him and also weekly chemotherapy, my mom has not been able to attend her job, not raising any income for our family. My brother continues to need weekly chemotherapy and will need it for many more months, further delaying my mom’s attendance to her job and income. Even if she decides to work 1-2 days to make some money, it still would not be enough to provide for our family. She is also ineligible for unemployment, meaning that we have no guaranteed stable income.
