Stem Cell Transplant
Donation protected
My name is Bobby Taylor (JR). I have a wonderful wife and step-daughter that I love dearly. On December 15, 2015 I was diagnosed with Stage III-IV Hodgkin's Lymphoma, in addition to that I had 2 masses (1 in my abdominal area and 1 around my heart). I've been on chemotherapy ever since. The last PET scan revealed that the chemotherapy I was taking is no longer effective. So started a new type of chemotherapy, it had no effect. We finally got into MD Anderson and started ICE chemotherapy to hopefully push me into remission so I can get a stem cell transplant. It is now the begining of September 2016 (end of my second ICE treatment) and they are anticipating to start stem cell transplant at the end of this month (may change), as long at the PET/CT and the bone marrow biopsy are clear. The stem cell transplant team has been following along with the ICE treatment, so as soon as I go into remission they can take over for the stem cell transplant. We are being informed (by the stem cell transplant team) that the stem cell transplant will be over the course of 2 months or so (maybe longer) at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. Once they start the transplant, we will be there for the duration. I will not stop fighting, I will win this battle. All of the donations that you give will be used for the associated expenses with the stem cell transplant and my recovery. I would like to thank you in advance for any donation, big or small, all will make a difference.
