Louisiana Flooding

Hi my name is Steven Herrell and I was impacted by the Louisiana floods and my heart goes out to anyone that was impacted by the horrible event. By the time we left the house the water was up to my knees inside the house and it got worse over the next few hours everything in the house is ruined and it is deemed unlivable so our landlord is going to demolish it and sell the land. I lived with my grandma who is on social security and has a lot of health problems, my dad who recently lost his job and doesn't have a source of income, and my uncle who is unemployed as well. We lost 3 cars, all of our appliances, our clothes, and our home and our first claim to FEMA got denied hopefully the appeal goes better for us. We have been in a shelter for over 2 weeks and we are very grateful to the churches volunteers and the Red Cross for helping us through this rough time, but we would like to move on and doing that from a shelter with no income and no transportation is very difficult. I'm just asking for any support anyone can give to help us get back on track so that we can move on from this tragedy.Thank you and God bless from the Herrell family
