Help Susan beat this!!!

Sorry if this is redundant from the mealtrain.com page, but it explains the situation pretty well.

Susan was my son's daycare provider until 2 weeks ago.  In my mind, she will always be my #1 daycare provider.  Any parents out there who has brought their kids to her house in the last 30 years will know what I'm talking about.  She is simply the BEST.  We can go to work without worrying for a second about our little ones.  There is nothing more important that the peace of mind knowing that your child is in good hands: Hands comparable to those of the child's parent.

Here is a little bit about why Susan needs and deserves all the help she can get.

Last May (approximately), Susan started mentioning that she was having pain in her legs and her left shoulder, going into her arm.  She visited the doctor after work, so us as parents would not be inconvenienced.  She had countless visits.  Anything ranging from blood work, to medication changes, to specialist appointments were covered.  Her pain was increasing week by week.  Having known her since I was born, I noticed a dramatic weight loss that began around the beginning of 2016.  She kept going to see specialists; rheumatologist, infectious disease specialist, and she was thinking about seeing a neurologist.  Her doctor was at a loss for what was causing her pain.  "The blood work is all normal.  I know there is something wrong with me."  We all felt so terrible, wishing there was something we could do.

She went to her primary care physician in March and they ordered a CT from the waist-up.  She received a call from her doctor that the CT was abnormal and that a biopsy of her bones would need to be done.   The biopsy was performed a couple weeks later.  Susan received a call almost immediately from her doctor to confirm what we all feared the most.  Bone cancer.  Though, to our surprise, Susan told us that the origin was from her lung.  Everything became suddenly very fuzzy as Susan found herself scheduling oncology visits and we all knew what was going to happen eventually.  She would need to stop working in order to concentrate on her health.   She has recently started radiation therapy and subsequently may need chemotherapy.   No matter how crazy hectic things were at the daycare the last year, Susan always put the kids first.  Now it is time for us to put Susan first since we all know she never puts herself first.

Susan will need financial help due to being out of work for a while.   Though I do not know their whole financial situation, I know that Susan's income makes up most of the household income.  They will need help paying for regular utility bills, mortgage payments, any non-covered medical expenses that may incur and also groceries or someone to help around the house.

She has had tremendous help from her family and friends, including her husband, sister Kathy who is here temporarily from Florida, Sister in Law, Karen, her kids Sara and Isaac, just to name a few.  This is just the tip of the iceberg, as they say.  Susan will need much more help going forward throughout radiation treatments and during her possible future of chemotherapy.

Thanks for all your help in advance.
