Philippines Mission Trip Fundraiser
Donation protected
As some of you may know, at the beginning of January 2016, a group of young men travelled together as a mission group known as YMG (Young Men of God) to the Philippines. Our mission was focused on devoting ourselves to enrich the lifestyle of the less fortunate living in poverty.
During this time, we encountered families living in unimaginably severe conditions and witnesses the traumatising aftermath of the Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 which resulted in thousands of lives and homes being tragically lost.
Through our time on mission, we were able to successfully raise an outstanding total of AU $15,000. Supported by the generosity of others, we constructed numberous homes for the people living in the provinces of Payatas & Montalban (Located in Manila). We then flew over to Villareal (Western Samar) to assist those who are continually affected by the ongoing threat of seasonal tropical typhoons.
These homes were accommodated with a combination of the following:
- New concrete floors & walls
- New plywood floors & walls
- Upgraded steel roof sheets opposed to the old rusty & damaged sheets
- Fresh coats of paint
Additionally, we successfully created a communal sceptic tank for the people of Villarreal and installed a new footpath for the community of Montalban.
This time, through the inspiration of YMG, we are flying over again to continue our mission journey! We, Samuel Ryall and Stefan Hanna, are extremely humbled by the opportunity to combat poverty and really make a difference. We kindly approach any individuals/organisations who would like to donate to support us in providing more safe and secure environments for the people living in poverty in the Philippines.
Any small donation would be much appreciated!
Again, Thank you in advance for your time and generosity God bless
