Kristen's Mission Trip to Africa
This June, I hope to go on an educational mission trip to Sierra Leone, Africa, but I need your help to get there.
I will be going on this trip with The Madieu Williams Foundation, where I am currently interning in Hyattsville, Maryland. Madieu is a University of Maryland Alumni and is originally from Sierra Leone. He wants to give back to where he came from by building schools and helping build their community.
I strongly believe that a good education should be accessible to everyone and I want to help make that possible. Any donation is helpful and I appreciate every penny of it :)
Shown here is a video about last years trip to Sierra Leone. The last years trip focused on medical needs and assessment of the area. This year the trip will be more about the secondary school and educating the teachers that will soon be a part of it. There is also an MSNBC news story link about the trip.
