The original post is still listed below but I felt I should tell you more about my Mama before all of this.

A Mom and a housewife she did all she could to help everyone. She raised her own 4 kids, helped raise 2 of her step children, raised 4 of her grandchildren and helped to raise 2 other grandchildren. From the day the first granddaughter started kindergarten in 1989 Mama was a fixture at Southern Hills Elementary School. She volunteered for all kinds of activities and could never tell anyone no. In 2002 after 13 years of being there every day and as her last grandchild attending the school was to graduate to middle school, the school finally put her on the payroll. My youngest started in 2008 and got to see her Granny taking care of special needs severe and profound children for the last 5 years. In July of 2003 just 7 months after losing her Daddy to Alzheimer's she lost her husband also. He had taken care of everything. He paid the bills. She didn't have a clue how hard it would be. Newly widowed she finds that they are so far in debt and didn't know how she would make it. With financial help from family and friends she was able to keep from losing her house. After her husband's death one of his daughters called AT&T and had the phone disconnected. They turned it off with no more than her word that my mama had the phone hooked up illegally in her Dad's name. She and her sister also refused to sign off on any of the papers that would have allowed my mama to do the succession. Mama was unable to sign up with the rest of the residence in her area for the Haynesville Shale. She was unable to claim any right to her own home therefore was unable to receive any of the Shale money for her mineral rights. Still to this day she has been unable to file the succession because two different lawyers took her money and didn't do anything. And as if that was all not bad enough, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and now lung cancer. And that is where the original post began. So I hope you can see how special my Mama is. Just sayin'.....

ORIGINAL POST::My name is Del. My Mama is Claudia Miller. After losing her father and husband within 7 months of each other in 2003, she was faced with devastating financial troubles and a horrible treatment by some of her husband's children. She struggled to keep her head above water for 4 years. In June of 2007 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She fought like a girl and won!! She remained cancer free until.... On March 26, 2013 she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since that day 7 weeks ago she has lost her hair and 40 lbs. It is inoperable and incurable. She has just finished all the radiation she is allowed to receive. She has one more 3 day cycle of chemo. In 2 months she will have 2 weeks of radiation to her brain to try to prevent it from spreading to her brain. She has A-fib which is aggravated by her severe dehydration she experiences when unable to eat or drink due to the chemo and radiation. Sadly, it is not a matter of IF she will die from this but WHEN she will die from this. She has suffered through the treatments to buy herself a little more time to spend with family. Unfortunately she is uninsurable for life insurance because of her health and she has no burial . That's where I come in.

I have organized a rummage sale for June 15th. I make custom hair bows and I am selling them to benefit my mama. I am refinishing a nice cedar lined chest for a raffle. I make awareness ribbons for breast cancer and lung cancer and have received small donations for them I intend to have a plate sale also. I am doing All of this is to try to raise the money it will take to bury my Mama . It is difficult knowing why I am doing this but it has to be done. I am afraid I will not be able to raise enough money to pay for final expenses. My older brother is disabled and on a fixed income. My other two brothers live a thousand miles away and are doing what they can to help with the expenses happening now. None of us has the funds we would need to take care of Mama's final wishes. That is where you come in. I hate to ask. I hate to beg. But for my Mama I will do anything! She is my first best friend. She was my strength when my sperm donor decided We weren't good enough to be his kids. She put up with our crap. She took care of our hurts and sicknesses. Now it is my turn I want to help her with her hurts and sickness. I want to take away her worry that she is leaving behind debt. Can you help me? Any amount? Whatever you could spare... I know the economy is hard and if you can't help financially I understand and would gladly accept your prayers. Prayer has been what has gotten us through so far. All money raised is going into an account strictly for her needs. Any help you could offer would be appreciated greatly. Thank you for your time.
