Fight for the Cause

I am here to tell you a story of an amazing  woman. She is a single mom to three beautiful girls. One is now in college and two are in high school. I met Taya  10 years ago when she was working in the school for half of what she use to make so she could be home for her 3 children.  We spoke often about how hard it was to make ends meet. Then a couple of years ago I was able to help her get a better job that paid more and not a minute to soon since her oldest was heading off to college.  Taya loves her new job and life was going so much better. 

Then on August 13th of this year Taya goes to the Doctor to remove a mole on her leg. The biopsy results come back and she receives the words we all don't ever want to hear. She needs to go in ASAP it is Melanoma and it is fast moving!

Taya finally was brought into Mass General Hospital  through some great connections and the head of oncology, who specializes in Melanoma saw her on Friday September 7th. They completed CAT scans and brain scans with radioactive die and found a mass in her brain.

On Monday the 10th they operated to remove the mass. Taya is home and can not go to work. This means she has no income. She has no disability and unfortunately has limited saving to hold over during this time. 

There is so much uncertainty in this world everyday and this has brought that uncertainty to a whole new level. Taya needs to focus on her recovery, however the stress of bills and the basic needs for her family interfere with this. Please find it in your hearts to give something to help.
