For several months last year I struggled with a digestive illness where I was unable to work. I lost 40 lbs, and every time I ate I hurt. I had pain in my chest morning and night, dizziness, panic attacks, ringing in my ears, sharp and dull pains throughout my gut, migraines, and blurred vision. No doctor knew why I was hurting. It was one of the most difficult time of my life. I tried everything, everyone, and had no relief. I lost more and more weight. In October I participated in a church-wide weekly fast. I already couldn't eat, but I gave up what I could: technology. My heart cried out for healing and answers. Through a series of prayers and healing God touched my life. Not only did all anxiety leave me, but I was led me to find not just healing but life-long wellness to my spirit, mind and body. Through the healing process, God has brought miraculous freedom, life and awakened dreams in my heart that I had forgotten existed. I began hearing God's voice. I have been so overwhelmed with his goodness and love.
Each and every gift whether talents, creations, possessions or money is given to us so that we can then turn and give them away. We are called to steward what we have been given...not hoard it or worry about it. To this end I have resumed life with a new zeal for ministry and photography. I not only want to finishing the dreams I had when I was young, but I want to give my life to help others find their path. I want to help release others into their identity and help them step into their destiny. I want to share the beauty that I see in the world around me through people, places, and experiences. To this end, I have gone back to school to Lipscomb University for Art Therapy and Bible Ministry. (I just finished my first semester!) I have also applied to a ministry school in the fall called the School of Supernatural Life. And I have partnered with Project R12 to build Safehouses in Uganda for abandoned children. Our first benefit dinner will be July21st!
I would not have a life if it were not for the love and kindness of my heavenly Father. And I want to share His love in a tangible way with the world around me. This is not my story, this is His. I am so grateful for each and every moment of this life!
