The Mama Campaign

This is Davina of Columbus Ohio reaching out to help my Mama. Throughout my life my Mom, Mishal, has been a huge infulence in my success and was always there when things got tough.   

A few years ago I was having  a lot of trouble staying healthy, getting through college, and keeping a job to pay rent every month.  My mom was a teacher at the time so her income was not extravagant but she was an emotional support and also agreed to pay for some of my monthly expenses so I could finish school and eventually be financially independent.

Since then I've been wanting to give back to this cause she so selflessly undertook. I am now working full time as a Chef and while I certainly can afford my cost of living, I also want to do something to help her out. I know my mom would never expect me to compensate her for all the times over the years that she has payed my rent, she always did this because she believed in me and wanted me to move forward.

I'm hoping to raise enough to pay for the year of rent and a little extra perhaps. I feel like my mom will find a great use for the money, she hasn't been out of the country in her lifetime so I would like to allocate some of the funds as a great vacation to someplace really cool. I don't have a deadline for the funds as I can give her the money whenever it reaches a significant amount but hopefully as a Christmas gift I can present her with a  check. She's the best example of what a mother should be and I think she deserves to know how much I appreciate her.
