Shelley and Thea's Fund

Donation protected
As many of you already know from Shelley Jacobsen's posts on Facebook, her husband, Oliver, went missing while hiking on the Isle of Skye on April 6, 2013. Despite additional searches by mountain rescue teams, Oliver has not been found, and is sadly presumed to be deceased. Shelley and Thea are at home in Cupar awaiting any further news from search teams. The weather has been poor off and on since April 6, and the mountain rescue teams have only been able to go out on certain days. Along with countless thoughts and prayers, many have expressed a desire to support Shelley and Thea in practical ways, too. Because Oliver is still missing, Shelley will struggle in the next few months to access any sort of financial assistance, including insurance and benefits. No amount of money will ever fill the hole left in her and Thea's lives; however, some financial assistance will support her in the next months while she finds her feet. It will give her the space to grieve and focus on sweet Thea. A group of friends have set up a fund to help Shelley and Thea during this painful time. We hope Shelley will use this fund for whatever she needs in the near future and longer term from meals to babysitters, help with the house, mortgage payments, plane tickets, etc.
