Mr. and Mrs. Wilson are two of the most genuine and amazing people to ever grace this earth. Together they have touched hundreds of lives at GAC and across the world. Personally, Mr. Wilson has been not only a teacher to me but one of my closest friends. Recently the Wilsons were blessed with triplets. As amazing of a blessing as that is, triplets are ludicrously expensive. Currently, the Wilsons have no way to transport the newborns. To help the Wilsons prepare for their three new children I am starting this gofundme to buy them a 2016 Honda Odyssey SE. This car would allow the Wilsons to transport all three kids from sports, school and etc. for years to come. Below listen to Mr. Wilson describe his journey. (Taken from his Facebook page)
So as many of you know (and some don’t) we have been wanting to become parents for a very long time. Over the past two and a half years, the whole process has been very long and very painful. I can’t begin to explain how hard this whole experience has been. We’ve been through numerous fertility treatments and tests and nothing has worked.
February this year, we went to a specialist and found out that apart from in vitro fertilization (IVF) we would never be able to have biological children. For those that aren’t familiar with IVF, it is incredibly expensive and painful both emotionally and physically. We did a round of IVF in April, and found out in early May that it failed. We were pretty devastated and defeated.
So this summer we did one more round of IVF. We were ready both emotionally and financially for this to be over with and have some closure. In June, we put in both of our remaining embryos. And after 70+ shots and countless doctor visits and tears, we were super excited to find out that we are pregnant! Obviously we are incredibly excited, and so thrilled about all of it. We went in for an ultrasound at six weeks and saw two beautiful tiny little embryos growing.
At seven weeks, we went in for another ultrasound expecting to see the twins get even bigger, however we saw something a little different. Instead of two embryos, we saw three. One of the embryos had split which occurs less than 1% of the time. Now there is a set of identical twins and a fraternal.
So we are super excited to announce that we’ll be having triplets! Their due date is March 15, but because they’re triplets, they will actually come somewhere around February 1 and will spend considerable time in the NICU. We’re beyond excited, but also very nervous for our little babies, so please be joining us in prayer for their health and safety.
This post is a little strange for us. While we are incredibly excited about our little babies, we also know that not everyone gets this opportunity. Infertility is not a subject that many people discuss, and I know how painful social media has been for us these past two and a half years. Seeing baby announcements was always a mixed bag for us. While we both stand by that no life should ever be mourned, it was always filled with a little sadness that and questions of “Why not us?” Comments such as “Praise God” and “God is so good,” were especially painful, as the underlying implication of those comments was that God was good to them, but not us. While the response to any life is overwhelming gratitude at the gift it is, we also know that it reminds others of loss and void in their lives.
These 3 little babies really are a gift from God, but we also had to learn that God was good even without children in our lives. We also know infertility is incredibly painful for couples going through it, and that babies don’t fix that pain or hurt. We are also nervous for these little kids and their health. Carrying 3 babies at one time is no easy task. So with all kinds of emotions we post this. We are so excited about these three little babies. We are going to need so much help with these kids and will be relying heavily on the amazing community that has walked with us through this entire journey. This will be our biggest adventure yet.
The Wilsons story is touching and truly shows how much they deserve our help. All it would take is a thousand people to donate $35 or three hundred people donating $100. At the time of me activating this page Mr. Wilsons Facebook post has over one thousand two hundred likes. This is an easily achievable goal and I appreciate everyone’s help and I am sure the Wilsons do to. Please share this page on your Facebook or other social media to help us achieve our goal of helping the Wilsons.
