Jamie is a vibrant young lady who has an "extra special chromosome". Jamie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 15, 2016.
The reason for creating this fundraiser is to help Jamie's family with all the extra expenses that will be incurred (ie. parking, meals, gas, wages). Any amount will help out, so give up that coffee and donate $2 to the cause. Living through this experience myself, I know how quickly the extra expenses add up and every little bit helps!
Sandy has been a great friend to me and I want to be able to give back to her and her family. I was blessed to have so many friends and family support us on our journey, now it's time to help a friend in need.
Please support my friend Sandy, her family and of course Jamie through financial support, meals, or even just prayers and positive thoughts or a visit to see Jamie. If you are visiting, please contact Sandy/Scott first, as depending on Jamie's coun ts, visitors may not be allowed. As well, if you or anyone in your family is sick, please do not visit, this is critical to keep Jamie well enough to receive treatment. If you have the CHICKEN POX or SHINGLES do not visit, this is life threatening!!!

So, it has taken me days to able to write this post. I took Jamie for routine blood work on Monday morning and received a phone call a few hours later. Her blood work was not good. She has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In the blink of an eye, our lives are changed. She was admitted to hospital on Monday and we will be here for a while 5 weeks or so the first time. Today at 2:00 she is having a procedure to have a bone tap done and a permanent port placed.... The tap will help the team determine the course of treatment and the port will be used to administer chemo and other meds and to draw blood. They will also draw some spinal fluid to determine if the leukemic cells are present in the spine as this will change the course of treatment.
If you pray, now is the time.
