Hello. My name is Dean Jones. I live in Katherine in the Northern Territory. I rescued my beautiful kelpie x Jilly 12 years ago as a 5 month old puppy. She had been severely abused and carried the trauma that came with it. Jill grew to be a beautiful loving and protective girl. She helped me through many difficult patches and I attribute my continued life to her. She sat beside me through cancer treatment and lay with me recovering. She survived a serious motor vehicle accident with me and lay at my feet during the months of our recovery. Six months ago she was attacked by a fresh water crocodile. After two days wandering in the bush she was found and we nursed her back to health. On Monday Jill was the victim of a brutal dog attack which inflicted multiple injuries the most severe is life threatening. She has held on against the odds, however, without extensive surgery her odds are very poor. She has been stabilised and tomorrow we will make the long drive to Darwin to see a Veternary Specialist. I am praying that my drive home won't be alone. We have been advised that the further costs other on top of what has been already paid will be high. Any money raised which is excess of her treatment will be donated to Animal Welfare. Please help me bring my girl home.
