SAVING DIXIE

Dixie is our dog that I rescued when she was a year and a half old. She was found in a back yard in Georgia, tied to a tree and being starved. When she was found, she was down to 22 lbs and her normal weight is 50 lbs. We have had her for 5 1/2 years now and she is the sweetest most loving dog ever !
We took her to the vet yesterday thinking she needed a tooth pulled, but were in total shock when the vet found a large tumor on the very back of her tonque. She needs to go to a specialty surgeon at a place like Tufts or Angell Memorial Hospital. Our vet told us that it would be around $3000 for the surgery. They want the money up front, and Mark and I being disabled, have no way to do this. I did not want to ask for help, but several friends have been pushing for me to do this, so only for Dixie's sake, I am asking for help. Anything you could donate to help would be so immensely appreciated ! This girl deserves to live out a long happy life after her horrible start. Please help us save Dixie !
