It been a very exciting year and creative journey. I have so many aspirations for 2020. I am writing and creating projects. I signed with an incredible supportive agency in October (BWA) and I've been successfully auditioning and booking work every month since. I'm blessed and grateful and about to enjoy a birthday.
Every year for my birthday has trained me to expect very little in terms of gifts since my birthday is 5 days before Christmas. I have also enjoyed collecting money for Charity in honor of the anniversary of my birth but this year I had a thought. I want stuff. I need stuff and since folks have asked what I want for my birthday here it is.
What I want more then anything is to revamp my acting package. I want to Put tools in my toolbox I am excited about. I'm talking, new headshots, new reel, a make over, a transformative acting class, my resume professionally crafted are all ideas that render me overwhelmed and excited in the same breath. Who hasn't dreamed of a fairygod person to come in and invest in their acting career?
If you actually know me or if you just follow me on social media you know I'm the ultimate hustler. I work hard nagivating auditions, gigs, networking opportunities and supporting fellow artists. This year I wanna work a little smarter and give you the opportunity to support me if you so desire. Ya wanna know what I want for my birthday? All I want is 1 dollar. Yup I have over 4000 friends and if each one gives me a dollar for my birthday I am busting into this pilot season with all the upgrades to take my career to the next level.
Now it could be arugued that the first step to winning an Oscar is food in your fridge but that isn't what your dollar is for. I am asking for money towards my career. I'll take care of the other stuff.
Most of all I would like the leverage of the energy of all the love, support, and belief people who care about me behind that dollar. I wanna put it all together and smile everytime I share my reel or headshot cause I know it came from so many people who wanna see me soar. And if you don't have a dollar thats ok but lets all continue to love and support each other our ordained vocation as story tellers. Thank-you for reading this. Thank-you for your support.
