A Friend and Her Family In Need

As many of you already know Kimberly Strzegowski-DelaCruz has had medical problems for the past 3 years. She was injured at work over 3 years ago when a kid attacked her. She was misdiagnosed as a result of the attack. She had surgery one year later. The surgery did not go well and Kimmy than got RSD, a chronic nerve disease. Their family household income went from 2 family, to one. Tony, Kimmy's husband, was the only one able to work. She has not been able to work! Believe me, it is hard with a toddler and a newborn.
Kimmy and Tony were pregnant with their second child and during that time, there was a lump found in her breast. Later, doctors said it was a clogged milk duct that turned into an abscess.
Kimmy was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. There were softball size and massive amounts of fluid in her breasts. She has been ongoing surgeries one after another recently. Now, there is a serious open wound on her breast for over a month now.
Kimmy had to follow very strict orders from her doctors one of them being bed rest. Her husband Tony had to frequently take off from work because his wife needed his help and to care of their children too. Kimmy also had a nurse that visited often to help with her wound care because she was on bed rest.
Their savings was already getting lower and lower. Tony hasn't been to work in about 3 months now and is home taking care of Kimmy, their beautiful young children, and everyday household responsibilities (not to mention taking her to all her tests, doctors appointments,and soon chemotherapy) They were and still are running themselves thin and refuse to ask for help! I know they are struggling now!
If things couldn't get any worse, she had to have another emergency surgery on last Monday because the abscess grew back. The doctors sent a golf ball size lump to pathology. The results came back as stage 3 Cancer.
They know it has spread to her lymph nodes and she is waiting on the results from the Petscan she had yesterday(Monday) that her mom Mrs. Debbie asked everyone for a little prayer for and continues to ask for prayers!
Kimmy was in the hospital for sometime. She is home now. The doctors said for her to expect to fight for her life the next 6 months to a year. She also starts chemo very soon. It's going to be difficult for her to not being able to do the normal everyday things for her children and husband!
As I said before, they were running their savings dry. With no income coming in, Im afraid what could happen. Her and her family do not need this added stress with bill collectors, turn off notices, everyday bills, groceries, etc. She won't be able to provide for her family with everyday things such as cooking, cleaning, caring for her children so Tony can work, or being an everyday wife to her husband . Tony is going to have to stay home and care for Kimmy and the children. There will be somedays, she won't be able to be around her children.
Everyone that is friends with Kimmy, Tony, and their entire family know that they would give the shirts off their backs if you ever needed it. I know they have been there for me several times! This is why I'm posting this GoFundMe page.
They would never ask for help, so I am asking everyone to please consider helping in any way. It could be donations on this page that go directly to them so they do not get behind on expenses (utilities, mortgage, car payments, groceries, and there will be things that Kimmy will need to help her with all the changes she is going to have to overcome during treatments) dinners, help with the children, helping with everyday things that they need, a card to brighten up their day, a simple text, or just letting them know you are praying for them. Their entire family believe in what a simple prayer can do! There will be days Tony won't be able to leave to buy diapers, baby food, etc. So just checking in from time to time seeing if they need anything. It's always nice to hear someone's voice or simply seeing a friend's face! There will be days that she won't be able to answer or you won't be able to see you, but she will definitely know!

I saw Kimmy and Tony yesterday before her Petscan!! She is a strong young women and I have no doubt in my mind that she is going to kick cancers ass!!! All she could worry about was her family. We need to help her and her family to stay positive and show how much we love and appreciate them!
Kimmy was saying something about looking into cancer center of America. But they don't have the funds to even look into it. Let's all try and see if we can get her there somehow!
This isn't the first time I have seen a friend or a family member go through this terrible illness. It breaks my heart to see it happening again. Especially to great people! As long as we help in anyway, I've seen first hand what everyone's help does! It definitely makes your loved ones stay positive and brings out the fight in them to survive!
